Acciona starts up 45MW Lamèque wind farm in Canada

The project involved investments of around C$115m ($119.3). Acciona has signed a long term power purchase agreement with distribution company NB Power.

The project uses 30, 1.5MW Acciona Windpower turbines.

The wind park is Acciona’s fourth in Canada, giving it a combined capacity in the country of 181MW.

It was developed with the Cooperative d’Energie Renouvelable de Lamèque and has received financial support from the Canadian government under the ecoEnergy for Renewable Power program for C$13.8m.
