The San Gabriel wind farm will supply round-the-clock generation between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2041, the Madrid-based developer says.
“The result of the tender once again highlights the fact that our renewables-based solutions are very competitive, even against conventional technologies,” says Jose Ignacio Escobar, general manager of Acciona Energía Chile.
Chile’s power auction saw 12,430 GWh/year put to tender, covering 30% of anticipated consumption in the regulated electricity market from 2021.
