The company’s full-year gross profits nearly doubled to $36.9m, on the back of revenues of $264.9m as the government backs schemes to curb pollution and ensure energy supplies.
A-Power also notched huge gains in its fourth-quarter earnings. Gross profits more than doubled to $14.5m, and revenues shot up 93.5% to $81.4m.
Though most of A-Power’s 2008 revenues still came from its distributed power generation systems division, the company is increasingly focused on its wind turbine business.
