Iberdrola is hosting a supply-chain event in Berlin today to outline its procurement strategy and potential requirements from German businesses.
The project developer is joined by its four main partners on Wikinger – wind turbine supplier Adwen, foundation and substation fabricator Navantia, installation specialist Offshore WindForce and cabling contractor Prysmian.
Tanis Rey-Baltar, Iberdrola project director for Wikinger, said: “Wikinger will have a considerable impact in job creation and we want to do all that we can to source as many of these jobs as possible from the local area.
