John Laing will pay between €45m and €50m ($51.2m-56.9m) for the Klettwitz wind farm in Brandenburg Schipkau.
The deal – which is subject to Klettwitz securing new project finance – will be the first in German renewables for John Laing, which has named clean energy as one of its key target investment markets.
Klettwitz has just been repowered using 27 Vestas V112 wind turbines, replacing the 36 V66 machines formerly used at the site in a project managed by engineering specialist Gicon.
