Closure of the wind park, located in the southern Kalmar Sound, has been planned for more than a year, and involves removal of its five 2MW NEG-Micon turbines and all associated cables.
The plant has not operated at full capacity in over a year and the last of its turbines was shut down on 2 November.
The Swedish utility said the turbines were reaching the end of their operational lifespan, and being of “an obsolete model…it is not commercially viable to upgrade them”.
