The company's business development director, Ricardo Cyrino, said AES Tietê plans to offer solar projects at regulated market auctions in 2016.
AES Tietê has a portfolio of at least 150MW through six 30MW solar PV projects located in the state of São Paulo.
The company has participated in earlier solar auctions but has not won any contracts.
In wind, the company could grow through acquisition of operational or near-completion projects, said Cyrino.
