Areva’s transmission and distribution division has secured the contract which will provide sufficient electricity supply for more than 230,000 homes across the whole of the North Norfolk coast.
Two offshore substations and an onshore gas-insulated substation will be supplied by Areva.
Reactive power compensation will provide the necessary support to deal with the variations and instabilities associated with the power flow from the wind farm.
