Brazil contracted 1GW of new wind capacity at R$98/MWh ($23.52) in Friday's A-6 regulated market tender, slightly higher than the previous rounds in April and in 2018, confirming price stability for the technology.
“The tender ends successfully with adequate average prices which will benefit the end consumer,” says Elisa Bastos, board member at Brazil’s power regulator Aneel.
