Brazilian wind power generation rose 15.5% in the first half of 2019 over the same period a year ago, as the industry expanded to new 'frontiers' and capacity factors topped 60% with the start of the windy season.

According to Brazil’s power trading board, CCEE, wind supplied 7% of the country’s total power supply in the first six months of 2019, reaching 11% in June when the windy season began.
