Brazil has capped wind power prices at R$208/MWh ($54.12/MWh) and solar PV at R$276/MWh for the A-4 tender at the end of June, continuing a trend of price reductions seen year after year.

The wind power ceiling was 18% below the R$255/MWh cap at last year's A-4 tender. Solar was 11% below the R$312/MWh cap last time. In US dollar terms, taking account of the foreign exchange rate at the time, wind was capped at $78/MWh and solar at $96/MWh.
