Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is weighing whether to sign or veto a bill that would double the US state’s renewable energy mandate to 50% by 2030 and has incentives to add a minimum 1.2GW offshore wind power capacity.

The Clean Energy Jobs Act (SB 516/HB 1158) passed Monday by the General Assembly, which Democrats control, includes a 14.5% carve-out for solar energy by 2030.
