Wind accounted for 8% of total electric power generated in Brazil during 2018 as the technology consolidated as the third biggest source behind hydro (73%) and thermal (19%).

Wind power generation last year was 15% above 2017 as the country added around 2GW of new capacity, ending 2018 with installed capacity of 14.5GW
