Spain, Brazil and Taiwan are expected to be outperformers in the global wind power market over the next decade, Fitch Solutions Macro Research said in an outlook through to 2027.

Growth in Spain will mainly come as a result of 4.1GW in capacity awarded through auctions since 2017 that will stimulate growth leading up to 2020.

The analysts see a short-term annual average growth of 8% in 2019 and 2020 in Spain’s wind capacity, which will likely level-off later as the country has launched the tenders mainly to meet its EU 2020 carbon emission targets.
