Positives signals over the growth of offshore wind beyond Europe helped spur an upgrade to 10-year global wind power forecasts from Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, which now expects more than 680GW of new turbine capacity to come online over the next decade.
The figure in the consultancy’s Global Wind Power Market Outlook Update: Q4 2018 represents a 2% increase on the level foreseen in the Q3 report.
