Brazilian renewable energy company Renova Energia said management is studying a proposal from US power generator AES Corporation to buy the 737MW Alto Sertão III wind complex and a 1.1GW wind power projects pipeline in Bahia state.
The offer was made by AES local subsidiary AES Tietê Energia.
The company, facing financial difficulties in the past two years, has been selling assets as part of a restructuring effort to help repay debt.
