Danish wind OEM Vestas has won a 106MW order for several sites in Greece from an unnamed client.
The order includes the supply and installation of 14 of the manufacturer’s V136-4.2MW turbines, five of its V136-3.6MW model and eight V117-3.6 MW machines.
Unusual for sunny and warm Greece, some of the V136-4.2MW turbines will be equipped with an anti-icing systemto minimise ice formation on blades to maximise energy production in cold climate.
