The European Investment Bank (EIB) said it is ready to weigh in behind the development of offshore wind in India and scaled up its support for onshore projects there.
The EIB – the EU's bank, focusing on advancing the bloc's policy agenda within its borders and beyond – said its “unique track record supporting expansion of offshore wind over the last 15 years” will benefit India as the country takes its first steps towards creating a sector of its own.
