Poland has kick-started its dormant wind sector by announcing plans to develop 8GW of offshore capacity by 2035, while the Eastern European country on Monday also opened a 1GW onshore auction.
Polish state secretary for energy Grzegorz Tobiszowski announced the government will soon pass a law to this effect, spelling out the annual volumes up to this date, WindEurope said in a release.
