Broadwind Energy’s structural wind tower business in the third quarter continued to suffer adverse effects from imports and steel tariffs, as production fell and will remain weak through yearend.
The company slowed production lines at plants in Texas and Wisconsin in response to a “short-term gap” in steel deliveries, “which we believe will continue to be a challenge in the fourth quarter,” said chief executive Stephanie Kushner in a statement.
