Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy expects to have 11.5GW of wind power capacity on its system by 2021, the most of any electric utility in the western hemisphere, chief executive Ben Fowke said on conference call.
“By 2022, we expect to have 48% of our energy coming from renewables and we'll have reduced carbon emissions by 50% across all of our systems,” he said.
