Danish-Japanese offshore wind joint venture MHI Vestas is advancing in its efforts to localise production in Taiwan, signing a conditional contract with tower maker CS Wind and Taiwanese firm Chin Fong Machine Industrial for the manufacturing of turbine towers in Taichung Harbour.
“Our activities this week underscore our strong commitment to the Taiwan offshore wind market and the build-up of a local supply chain,” said MHI Vestas co-chief executive Lars Bondo Krogsgaard.
