EDF Renewables won new wind contracts in Brazil's A-6 power tender that will enable it to build 276MW of wind capacity in the coming years, taking the French group to the 1GW mark in the country.

“The medium and long-term outlook for Brazil is promising, although now the market is unpredictable. We expect to reach 3GW to 4GW in renewables such as wind, solar and storage in the coming years,” Paulo Abranches, EDF Renewables’ Brazil manager told Recharge.
