EDF Renewables has confirmed its intention to bid in upcoming offshore lease auctions held by the US Interior Department, adding another major global developer to the snowballing US offshore wind market.
Last month EDF Renewables announced a preliminary agreement to acquire developer Fishermen’s Energy’s pilot offshore project off New Jersey. That’s just the beginning of its ambitions for the US offshore market, chief executive Tristan Grimbert tells Recharge.
