Wind dominated new US utility-scale power installations this year through February with 1.56GW of the 2.17GW placed in commercial operation, according to latest Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) data.

Solar PV was next with 565MW and natural gas with 40MW. There were no new build or capacity expansion from other sources of electric power generation.
