Southern Company announced the retirement of Joseph “Buzz” Miller as chief executive of its Southern Power unit, one of the fastest growing investors in US renewables in recent years, just days after the US utility giant signaled a slowdown in growth at its unregulated generation arm.
Miller, who has been with Atlanta-based Southern Company for more than three decades and led Southern Power since early 2016, will leave the company on 1 April.
