Texas’ Port Corpus Christi, located along the western Gulf of Mexico, has decided to build an additional laydown yard for storing wind turbine components, saying it is chalking up record business from the US wind industry.
The first phase of a new 25-acre (10-hectare) laydown yard will come on line in the first quarter of 2018, with the remainder to be completed later in the year.
