Xcel advances 1.23GW wind plan in New Mexico, Texas

Xcel Energy has reached a settlement with key stakeholders in New Mexico that advances its plan to add 1.23GW of new wind power capacity there and in neighboring Texas by 2020.

Called a stipulation, the settlement was filed Monday with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. The five PRC commissioners will consider the agreement when making a final ruling on whether the proposed facilities should be built.
