Vattenfall is investing €200m ($236m) in a first 180MW phase to the larger Dutch Wieringermeer onshore wind repowering project to which the Swedish utility expects to contribute a total of 295MW.

Preliminary works for a first 50 new turbines are starting now, with turbine installation planned in 2018, and commissioning in 2019.

Vattenfall didn't say which turbine brand it will use.
