Enel Green Power has landed a major power-purchase agreement with brewer Anheuser-Busch for more than half the output from its nearly completed 298MW Thunder Ranch wind farm in Oklahoma, pushing the wind and solar powerhouse’s contracted capacity with US corporations past 500MW.

The Thunder Ranch wind project, due on line in late 2017 in northern Oklahoma using GE turbines, is expected to generate 1,100GWh of electricity each year – roughly 610GWh of which will be sold to Anheuser-Busch through a virtual PPA, or the anticipated output from 152.5MW
