Deepwater Wind has emerged as the second challenger in the race to build Maryland’s first offshore wind farm, with the Block Island developer unveiling its 120MW Skipjack project that will compete against a larger project backed by US Wind.
Having been extended multiple times, the application period for Maryland’s first offshore wind project closed last week with the state’s Public Service Commission.
