Aerowatt, based in Saran, France, acquired a 66% share in the €15m ($19.9m) windpark in July 2008. The windparm will have an estimated annual turnover of €2m.
The Haute-Loire windpark comprises six Enercon E70 three-blade turbines, each rated at 2MW, with Enercon also signed up to provide maintenance work.
“This new plant brings our installed windpower capacity to almost 70MW, and is another step towards reaching our targets,” says Jerome Billerey, chairman of Aerowatt’s board.
