A 26km long power transmission cable and ‘electric socket’ hub are being loaded out for transport to the £42m development off the south-west coast of the UK.
Manufactured at JDR Cable System’s factory near Newcastle, the armoured 1,300 tonne 33kV cable is being reeled onto the cable laying-ship MV Nordica in a five-day operation expected to be complete by 23 July.
