The Vietnam-focused infrastructure development company, which is listed in the US, said that the Song Giang 2 Hydropower joint stock company tapped Cavico Hydropower Construction for the construction of a 3,900-metre long headrace tunnel, two sub-tunnels that total 650 metres in length, and a 42-metre tall surge tank.
Cavico Hydropower expects to complete the construction in less than two years.
“The first phase of the project which will involve site preparation is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2009,” Cavico said.
