The funding – pooled from the UK’s Technology Strategy Board (TSB), Scottish Enterprise and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) – will be awarded though the ‘Marine Energy – Supporting Array Technologies’ competition.
The competition will cover projects in the areas of tidal array cabling, subsea electrical hubs, installation and maintenance vessels for tidal projects, navigation and collision-avoidance, and anti-fouling and corrosion.
