The project aims to engineer a detailed concept for a wave energy converter (WEC) rated to deliver at least 10MW of power as a first step, with a follow-on phase moving the technology through to full-scale demonstration at sea.
International and domestic market opportunities for the WEC will also fall within the scope of the project.
