Bluewater and PdA, which has designed a Darrieus-type horizontal-axis tidal turbine, have been refining Bluetec as a moored, wave-riding mini-hub capable of operating four tidal turbines of any design in all water depths.
JDR will bring its knowledge of intrafield cable layout and power-line designs to the venture.
"Reliable power cable and its layout are important for tidal farms," Bluewater new energy manager Allard van Hoeken tells Recharge.
