Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), the government-owned OUC will secure full funding for EWP's first commercial scale project, while carrying out related R&D works at its facilities in the coastal city of Qingdao.

“The uniqueness of EWP is in its innovative idea to develop and implement different floaters’ shapes for every location,” says Merav Tapiero, programme manager for Israel-China industrial cooperation at the Israeli Industry Center for R&D.

EWP has been testing a prototype medium-scale system on a pier in Ukraine’s Black Sea since the spring, with a commercial-scale model targeted before the year-end.
