The deal with Ocean Energy means two of the four berths at Wave Hub, off the south-west coast of England, have now been reserved.
US company Ocean Power Technologies (OPT) has signed up to put its 500kW PowerBuoy machine in the water, though no date for installation has been set.
“Ocean Energy is ready to make the next step to Wave Hub with a full-scale device,” says Wave Hub general manager Claire Gibson.
