Alstom will deliver two 60MW Kaplan turbine and generator units to the project, which is being run by Sinohydro of China.
The French group will also oversee installation and commissioning as part of the order, which is worth more than €20m ($26.3m).

The dam, on the Kafue River about 260km south of the capital Lusaka, is a joint venture between Indian conglomerate Tata and Zambia’s state power company.
