Generation at this level from the turbine, which flies 80-metre-long blades and has a three-stage geared drive-train, would meet demand from 13,500 households.
Jens Tommerup, chief executive of the Danish-Japanese OEM, said the record demonstrates the full capacity of the machine, the largest built to date by the wind power industry.
"This power production record further underlines both the quality of the technology as well as the skills of the team involved who have been working hard to ensure the turbine is performing according to our testing schedule," he said.
