After six months in limbo, Argentina has launched a tender to contract a 490km transmission line considered essential to link the county’s western solar district to its more populated and industrialised central region.
The contracting of the line will be carried out through a public-private partnership (PPP) in which the bid winners will invest in the construction of the transmission line over three years and the government will then pay for the subsequent 15 years of operation and maintenance.
