Google ramped up its European clean-power procurement with deals for output from 190MW of wind farms in Finland, its first in the country.

Developer Neoen said the web giant will take 100% of the electricity from the 81MW Hedet wind farm it is advancing in Närpes, in the west of Finland.

The project – 80% owned by the French developer with the remainder held by Prokon Finland – is expected online by the end of 2019, said a statement from Neoen that does not specify the term of the PPA.
