Argentina’s government contracted 666MW of wind and 557MW of PV in another heavily over-subscribed tender, prompting it to expand the process to seek another 660MW of non-large-hydro renewables in the next 10 days.

Companies that didn’t win in the first stage of the tender, known as Ronda 2.0 (Round 2) of the RenovAr renewable energy programme, will be allowed to revise down their prices to try and win a 20-year, US dollar denominated PPA.
