Fears of a shortage of raw materials for the batteries that will be vital for the energy transition are overblown, the head of Europe’s energy storage association tells Recharge.
Patrick Clerens, secretary-general at the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), explains that he is not worried about the supply of raw materials as millions of lithium-ion batteries are built in the coming years, despite reports about looming shortages.
