The unit, called Think Solar USA, is currently developing "proprietary technologies" to harvest solar power for electricity and processing heat under its SunCatcher line of parabolic solar collectors and heat exchangers. Those are the units that turn solar heat into steam. The company is also developing rotary steam engines to turn that steam into electricity.
"W2 Energy is first and foremost a renewable energy company, and there is no energy more renewable than solar energy," says Mike McLaren, CEO of W2 Energy.
