Bergen-based Sway’s floating offshore wind technology is not as well known as Statoil’s Hywind concept — the prototype of which has been producing electricity since last summer — and has not yet left the drawing board and test laboratories.
The next step is to build a prototype, says chief financial officer Michal Forland, who tells Recharge: “We are discussing different locations for the 5MW floater with potential partners in three to four countries.”
