Gamesa to provide 5MW offshore prototypes to E.ON

The agreement also includes the installation of one, and possibly two, of the Spanish manufacturer’s G128-4.5 MW wind turbines for an E.ON site in Europe.

Gamesa adds that it will also install 30MW of capacity at a wind farm under construction in Alcamo – Sicily in 2011. It will supply G9X-2.0MW turbines.

Javier Perea, general manager of sales and projects for Gamesa says: “The ability to test our offshore wind prototypes will provide us with a solid basis for advancing towards the final development of our offshore platforms.”
