Denmark’s Krøll Cranes and Tower Cranes of America have both bought shares in the company and are set to play a key role in building its two giant structures.

Construction of the power station’s 685-metre-tall towers – hollow cylindrical structures equipped with a water-spray system designed to generate 2.5GW from a high-speed stream of “downbursts” of air, turning turbines in the foundation – will require a combination of giant heavy-lift and smaller mobile cranes.
