Detailed design of the concept, a cross-shaped, "turbine-agnostic" structure fitted with a quartet of machines, is being developed by Bluewater alongside Italian turbine developer Ponte di Archimede and Scottish research and development outfit the Environmental Research Institute.
“Right now, the tidal industry is starting to recognise the substantial benefits of the floating support for the turbines,” says Bluewater new energy manager Allard van Hoeken.
